Mr. Hot Sunday is back once again with yet another smash record. After previous collaborations with the likes of Miguel Campbell, Doorly and Roland Clark, Colour Castle has paired his infectious house production with the funky energy of USA’s Damon Trueitt, a globally established topliner who has previously lent his vocals to the likes of FJK and YesYou among plenty others.
Night Road showcases the versatility of the Colour Castle project, putting forward different versions of the record, each drawing from different influences and serving their own occasions. The ‘Sunset Vocal Mix’ draws inspiration from 70s funk and 90s hip-hop and allows Damon’s vocal to drive the summer poolside tone with the Club Mix in Colour Castle’s own words, a “prime time nightclub slammer”.
A joint release between Cr2 Records and Colour Castle’s own rising imprint, Hot Sunday Records, this one’s bound to get people moving on dance floors locally and abroad.
