One of Cr2’s most hotly anticipated releases for the year comes in the form of a brand new dance smash, ‘Lay Low’ an uptempo floor filler that strikes the ideal balance between the infamous rolling bass grooves of UK house and the soul-laden pop-inspired soundscape perfectly shown by the vocals of singer/songwriter Izzy Bizu. Izzy, who has toured with the likes of Coldplay, Sam Smith and Rudimental and is currently on tour in North America with ODESZA, has recently had huge success featuring on Vintage Culture’s 2023 single ‘If I Live Forever’ which already stands at 3M streams, and ODESZA’s ‘Forgive Me’ that has over 12.5M streams. 

‘Lay Low’ consists of Cr2 debutants Toby Romeo and 220Kid alongside Izzy Bizu. The former, Toby Romeo, is perhaps best known for his 2021 collab with Felix Jaehn and FAULHABER ‘Where The Lights Are Low’, which has skyrocketed Toby to one of the globe’s most exciting producers, and his repertoire of releases continues to grow with so many other established names. Joined by Multi-Platinum selling artist and BRIT award nominated 220Kid elevates the record to new heights, bringing a technically astute production quality that has recently seen him work alongside established vocalists such as Cat Burns and Jem Cooke to some of House music’s enigma’s like Wax Motif and more.
